If you are looking at investing in solar, you are probably wondering what the pros and cons are of the different solar installers. Your research will show there are national companies and there are local companies. Which is right for you? At Endries Solar and Electric, we believe the smart choice is going with a local installer and here’s why:
Close and Personal Contact with your Sales, Design, and Install Team
-
- Local companies employ individuals that are invested in the success of your project.
- We have a team that takes the time to sit down with you prior to your purchase to provide a clear explanation of your potential savings.
- An experienced energy consultant from your area will physically visit your home or business prior to developing a system and personalized quote. You will meet and speak face to face with a solar expert who will answer any questions and help you evaluate your choices.
Lower Cost
-
- Local companies are more knowledgeable of the local utility company and municipality requirements. This makes the permitting and interconnection steps quicker, more efficient, and therefore less expensive.
- National companies rely on drone pictures or online maps/apps to make their designs. This technique often misses small details like roof vents, or changes that have happened since the last app update. These small details can have a costly impact if not found until the install team arrives.
Higher Quality
-
- National companies will subcontract installers and electricians. Local companies like Endries Solar and Electric employ our own electricians, designers, installers, and safety specialists. We have frequent meetings, continuing education opportunities, and group events which promote teamwork and reaching common goals of excellent customer service.
- We have our eyes on each project. Our service area is within a 2 hour radius, so our owner, our safety specialist, and our sales team can physically visit the jobsite during the project to ensure things are going as planned.
Timely Project Completion
-
- Larger, national companies often have longer wait times from contract signing to commissioning (powering up your system). Endries Solar and Electric, as a smaller, local company, can typically commission a project within 3 months of signing a contract.
- Again, working with subcontractors often causes delays in the solar project process. Endries Solar and Electric does not subcontract any of our work.
Endries Solar & Electric is a local, family-owned company, with demonstrated commitment to our customers. We do our best to help you find your maximum saving potential. If you are considering solar, please give us a call! We look forward to the possibility of working with you!
