Endries Solar & Electric’s team is focused on solar installations in eastern and southeastern WI communities. We’re seeking individuals that looking to join a high-performing team and are passionate about exceeding our customer’s expectations. No experience is necessary, but the excitement to learn is a must!

Endries Solar & Electric, is looking for solar panel installers as well as Journeymen electricians. Daily duties include evaluating current client electrical systems, analyzing usage and requirements, and installing solar panels and plans to improve efficiencies while reducing costs and environmental footprint.

Electrician

Job Description:

Electricians are integral members of our installation crews who work in a team environment doing the required electrical work to connect solar arrays to the grid for our customers. Electricians and their teams ensure accurate and timely solar installations, update Managers on projects and specifics, and utilize best installation/connection and safety practices. Electricians are responsible for ensuring the company’s strategies are always the top priority. Electricians should strive to create a high-performance work environment for all needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with crew members to complete projects within established policies and procedures.
  • Read & comprehend building plans for roof & ground-mounted arrays.
  • Perform all required electrical work for residential and commercial solar projects, including grounding the new solar system to the existing house grounding system, pipe runs, installing multi-position meter sockets, and installing PV disconnect, all while meeting code requirements.
  • Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on safety.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues.
  • Communicate with the install team in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner, answering all questions and concerns to the best of your ability.
  • Communicate with customers in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner, answering all questions and concerns to the best of your ability.
  • General Construction work: using hand tools, measuring, leveling, assembling etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Educational, professional and/or other requirements:

  • Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes.
  • Valid Driver’s License and required clearance of a background check and DMV record.
  • Valid Journeyman Electrician License.
  • Must be able to work overtime, have flexible hours, travel to job sites & stay overnight as required.
  • Experience complying with OHSA safety requirements and regulations.
  • Professional appearance and excellent customer service.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Good attendance.
  • Ability to innovate and improve operations and solve complex problems.

Physical Requirements:

Solar Installer

Job Description:

Solar Installers are integral members of our installation crews who work in a team environment installing solar arrays at residential customers’ homes and commercial businesses. Installers and their teams ensure accurate and timely solar installations, update Managers on projects and specifics, and utilize best installation and safety practices. Solar installers are responsible for ensuring the company’s strategies are always the top priority for all installations. Solar Installers should strive to create a high-performance work environment for all needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with crew members to complete projects within established policies, procedures and timelines.
  • Read & comprehend building plans for roof & ground-mounted arrays.
  • Assemble and install the solar array racking, feet, modules, and inverters.  Properly seal all roof penetrations.
  • Maintain high levels of quality assurance and quality control with an emphasis on safety.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues.
  • Communicate with the install team in a professional, considerate, and respectful manner, answering all questions and concerns to the best of your ability.
  • Electrical Work: Properly crimp MC4 ends, install home runs, bend EMT, inverter stringing, low voltage (Cat5) installation, DC Combiner box wiring, pipe runs, wire management, etc.
  • General Construction work: using hand tools, measuring, leveling, assembling, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Educational, professional, and/or other requirements:

  • General construction knowledge to include: roofing, electrical, and carpentry skills. General ladder experience.
  • Required clearance of a background check and DMV record.
  • Must be able to work overtime, have flexible hours, travel to job sites & stay overnight as required.
  • Experience complying with OHSA safety requirements and regulations.
  • Professional appearance and excellent customer service.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Good Attendance.
  • Maintain a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.

Energy Consultant

Job Description:

Endries Solar Energy Consultants perform sales and support functions related to solar energy systems for both residential and commercial customers. They make sales calls, which may involve cold calls to leads. They also deliver sales pitches and presentations in response to inquiries. They schedule consultations and appointments and educate customers about the features and benefits of solar energy systems. These roles often involve sales quotas, and pay may be based at least in part on commissions and bonuses.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand customer’s needs, priorities, properties, and whether they are a good fit for solar.
  • Answer customer questions, request usage data, schedule visits, take photos, complete assessments, and prepare quotes/proposals. Provide solar sales presentations and negotiate contracts with potential clients.
  • Follow up on quotes not sold.
  • Prospect and close new business.
  • Collect signed contracts, payment, and information to begin the project.
  • Ask for referrals and prospect for new opportunities through cold calls & connections.
  • Know the rules and restrictions of utilities and municipalities.
  • Provide valuable strategy and information to improve sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Engage with land and building owners to negotiate and execute options to purchase or finance.
  • Act as the intermediary between customers and solar installers, as well as customers and their utility companies.
  • Be a resource for office staff with questions on complicated permitting, zoning, etc. Attend zoning meetings.
  • Attend sales meetings and industry events to stay informed about new products, sales techniques, financial products, and industry developments.
  • Attend fairs, summits, networking groups, and other events to promote a company, develop leads, and educate the community on solar.
  • Act in a professional and courteous fashion at all times as a representative of the company.

Additional Responsibilities for Commercial Sales:

  • Understand utility rates and how they affect the company’s Return On Investment.
  • Understand grants and other aid available to businesses.
  • Prepare quotes and review them with management to determine the final price.
